Classic Canadian Songs from Smithsonian Folkways

The Canadian Folkways albums consist of a mixture of field and studio recordings, representing Aboriginal and immigrant, vocal and instrumental, and traditional and contemporary folk music performed by amateur and professional musicians, both rural and urban, from virtually every region, province, and territory in the country. There are recordings from English, French, Scottish, Irish, Russian, Ukrainian, German, African-Canadian, Yiddish, and many Aboriginal traditions. The collection also contains recordings of classical music, children's songs, and spoken word (poetry, dramas, and radio programs).
