The Story of Heritage Records

Bronislaw (Bronko) Huculak immigrated to Canada in 1899 from the town of Chortkiv in western Ukraine. In 1906 he married Frances Wachowicz and settled on a homestead near Skaro, Alberta, in the heart of the Ukrainian bloc settlement. A farmer, postmaster, construction worker, school trustee, and sawmill operator, Bronko had a great love of music and was active in his local church choir. Bronko and Frances Huculak had thirteen children, including son Ken, the founder of Heritage Records.
