The History of Fiddling in Northern Alberta to 1950

The completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1885 brought a flood of immigration to Alberta from Europe, eastern Canada, and the United States. The new arrivals brought with them diverse traditions of music and dance and a strong sense of community.
